Flower Magic

Written by

Ahhh, it feels so good to have some flowers around again! I have been experiencing MAJOR withdrawals this month.
While evergreens and berries have been brightening up an otherwise dark time, nothing can lift my mood like real, honest to goodness flowers.
Tomorrow we (my partner in crime Jill from Red Clover) are heading out to the chilly studio to whip up a little floral magic.  I can’t wait!
Over the weekend I stumbled onto these lovely ladies work. It seems that I’ve been under a rock and missing out on some major inspiration. I love their simple studio and am hatching a plan to transform mine into a bright cheerful space too. Details shortly…

* I finally figured out how to post large photos, yeah!!!

I normally shy away from ultra traditional flowers like these pink mini Carnations but their color and smell was hard to resist.

These fragrant Stock have filled the studio with a wonderful spicy aroma.

Dusty Miller, what’s not to love
Ranunculus from California (I think).

I’m a sucker for texture and foliage’s.Seeded Eucalyptus, Dusty Miller, green Hydranges,Waxflower,Queen Anne’s Lace  and Hypericum berries should make the bouquets sparkle!
Queen Anne’s Lace is a favorite, always adding a little romantic country charm.

Spray Roses from California, so pretty.

While super short and tiny (ours are normally twice the size)these little darling are going to add so much sweetness to the bouquets.
