What a surprise seeing this interview with Gregg Lowrey! I visited Vintage Garden every year, back in the 1990’s. I kept the catalogs with all my notes. It was such an adventure and incredibly inspiring.

I appreciate this interview so much. Thank you for sharing the efforts the nonprofit is making to preserve roses through the rose curator program. I love that it’s not only preserving roses but building community along the way. I think it makes for stronger bonds and ensures that flowers are treasured for years to come. It’s sad to know that so many historic rose collections are disappearing.

I love all things roses. My husband used to buy me rose bushes instead of cut flowers. It was so amazing when they were all in bloom. We have since moved out of state and I’m slowly building up my rose collection here. This interview and episode has been inspiring and encouraging. I’m having to learn all over again how to are for my few roses in a humid environment. The information about this and the links you provided are great. I can’t wait to dive in. Thanks again!

I couldn’t agree more with Lisa’s comment! I was slow to start with roses – but they’re beginning to compete with the dahlias for space in the garden & my heart. After learning about the Friends of Vintage Roses, I’m starting to think they need a garden all to themselves! Thank you for sharing & inspiring!!!
