I grew sweet peas when I was a child in Northern British Columbia. Now I live in Nova Scotia and grow lavender and cut flowers on a small scale. But for the life of me I cannot get sweet peas to flower. I have tried all sorts of different approaches from books. I get lots of foliage but not many if any blooms. HELP!

Great article with helpful pictures. Would LOVE LOVE a chart with all these hardy annuals and dates in FALL and SPRING when they can be direct sown. Charts are so helpful when coordinating a mass of seed packets! :)

Hello, I am an experienced garden, but new to having a cut flower garden.
So , my question is this. When a seed pack says 8 to 10 weeks before last frost does that mean after seeds have popped up or does it mean from the time you plant the seed in the little cells. I have a green house and have been selling Petunia Hanging Baskets for years. I have your books. and I don’t know if you have addressed this.
