Do you have to replant these after 2 years? Or will they multiply and return on their own? Just bought some foxglove excelsior and hollyhocks!

Is it fair if I vote for Hollyhocks? I’ve always wanted them and this is the first year I’ve actually tried them. So excited! I’ve planted a French Hollyhock from seed as well as a single “Old Farmyard” mix that should get 6-8 feet tall. There is nothing as hopeful as a garden.

Holly Hocks ! Mine tower over our heads easily 9′ with an abundance of flower stocks per plant. Mutants and I love them.. This spring I planted seeds for a the “black” holly hock. They bloomed this year.. I am shocked.. not one of them are black. LOL they are a stunning red, a few single petaled and a few others carnation flowers..

My first year with foxglove. Wondering how you keep Timmy away from the foxglove? I have a cat and she eats the catnip she finds I have for her. There’s a neighbourhood cat that eats my tulips?!? I have a little fence around it but I’m nervous I’ll find an I’ll cat or worse
