My fabric is already planted. Will it still be effective or will I need to remove it all?

I had to do that when we were putting down some artificial turf by our pool and wondered if it was the same concept.

Thanks Michelle

We’ve found that mulching dahlias works great and it’s easier to dig up the tubers at the end of the season than growing them in landscape fabric.

We are just getting started after moving from 1/3 acre in Delaware to 97 acres in NW Georgia. I did make a template in plywood but I tried burning the holes after the fabric was laid out. Because there are air pockets the flame went beyond the 3″ hole in the template so we tossed that idea since our fabric is already down. Then I tried a creme brulee torch and it worked great! Perfect holes, no template. We are in a test year just to see what we can grow so we don’t have thousands of holes to burn like you do but I thought I’d mention this method for anyone looking to do this in a smaller garden.

For those varieties we space them at 12 inches. Recommended spacing requirements can be found on the seed packets and also on the description pages in our online shop.
